Dirk Dirk
Professor Dirk Powers has been teaching English and Creative Writing classes at the Academy of Dayte University for ten years. Granted, some of those years were assistant teaching, he’s been completely serious about it the entire time. Something special about Dirk is he graduated high school when he was 15 through a ‘gifted student’ program. He was also extremely tired of the bullying and had hoped it would end if he got into college early.
Mandy
Maiandra “Mandy” Wright is a somewhat dedicated student (she doesn’t care if she gets Cs, as long as she passes) who has a passion for just about anything. She is a sophomore. It’s the dedication to pursue any of it that gets her. She’s not lazy, she just has no drive to focus on one thing for too long. She wouldn’t care if she got stuck being a student for the rest of her life if it didn’t run up her debt. Something special about Mandy is she started dying her hair when she got into college. She’s a natural dark blonde.
Suzan
Suzan Summerz is the co-captain of the Boltz cheerleading squad at the University. Despite what the rumors saying, she’s not dating Todd, Tim, Vera, OR Jacob. Also against rumors, she does try hard for her grades and she works hard for the squad too. After school you can find her sitting in the bleachers, if she’s not cheerleading, writing in her journals. Something Special about Suzan is she pierced her own nose when she was 19 and her parents had a fit. To make it up to them, she pierced her belly button at a tattoo shop her cousin owns. They were much more approving of that.
Tim
Timothy Howard is the quarterback, the goalie, the pitcher, the captain, the coach, the guy you need when your team doesn’t have enough members. He especially loves soccer, so that’s the team he is officially in. Tim tries hard to get good grades, but study sessions with the rest of his team is the only thing keeping him on any team. He just doesn’t get math. Something Special about Tim is he donates his share of winning championships to his friends for loan debt, since he’s riding on so many grants and scholarships that he won’t have to pay for college at all.
Charlotte
Charlotte Henderson is a shy, quiet, and secluded girl who tends to shake when approached by noisy people. She only needs glasses to see at a distance. Charlotte is one of Mandy’s friends in college. She is currently joining the chess club. Something Special about Charlotte is she is double-majoring in mathematics and cryptozoology. Her favorite mythological monster is the jabberwock.
Ned
Edgar “Ned” Baker has always had a love for sports and the competition therein, but his stature has only allowed him to play sports through games and pretending. Now that he’s almost done with college, he’s giving it a second try. Ned is one of Mandy’s friends from high school, being two grades higher. Ned has had a long-term crush on Mandy. He thinks if he gets fit through the football club, she’ll fall for him on her own, without him pushing her into anything. Something Special about Ned is he owns a motorcycle and learned to ride it when he was 16. He plans to build his own once he gets a steady job.
Piper
Piper O Rinn is somewhat of an airhead who loves cheerleading more than anything. She is currently the captain of the Academy of Dayte University’s cheerleading squad. She’s been cheerleading since she was able to walk, and doesn’t care one bit what you think about it; famous people get famous by doing what they love, not by following the rules! Oh, did we mention she wants to be famous? She wants to appear on TV at a football game like those pretty girls from professional squads. Something Special about Piper is she is a second generation immigrant from Ireland: her mother and father moved to the USA when her mother found out she was pregnant.
Vera
Vera Franca is a self-absorbed cheerleader on the Academy of Dayte University’s cheerleading squad. Despite what rumors say about her, she IS dating Todd, though flirting for a better grade is definitely not below her. She’s a woman who will use her feminine wiles to get what she wants, and often pouts when she doesn’t get her way. Vera enjoys being around her fellow squad members, but nothing would make her happier than to be the solo act on the dance floor. Something Special about Vera is she is fluent in Italian, due to her mother being from Italy. She rarely speaks it though, since she hates her mother for abandoning her at a tender age of 16.
Rico
Enriquo “Rico” Estrada Jr. is a senior at the Academy of Dayte University majoring in Bioengineering. As an open gay man, Rico befuddles a lot of stereotype-loving people by not “Acting Gay”. He loves sports, hard rock, and thinks shopping with women is one of the most boring afternoon pastimes in the world. One of Mandy’s best friends, he works morning shift at The Plaid Nimbus to pay off his student debt, as well as put money toward buying a house. Something Special about Rico is he has a full-back tattoo reciting his parent’s wedding vows in their handwriting: he always brags his parents’ love story was silver screen classical and without it, he wouldn’t be where he is today.
